I was in the same situation when I moved to France from the UK at 18. Being misunderstood, feeling unheard, and becoming a quieter version of myself...
...Until I took a French pronunciation course.
And after experiencing a massive shift in my confidence speaking from this, I wanted to pass this feeling onto learners of English.
So, I did a master’s in English Phonology (the science of sounds), became a university lecturer (at the Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle), and now I’m here to help you, with my signature programme:

Bolivia/UKBefore starting this course, despite me being in the UK for such a long time, I always thought I was pronouncing everything incorrectly, I lacked confidence in my speech, and that made me feel not good enough. I had so many doubts about my strong Spanish accent influencing the way I speak English. I had tried another course before this, but I left it with more doubts and confusion about the sounds.
After the 8 weeks together, I have learnt to use my mouth muscles to confidently make sounds that before were so hard to get, I hear myself speaking more clearly and sounding more natural, as well as being able to put the stress on the correct syllables, which is making a huge difference to my speech and to my overall confidence.
As a result, I’m no longer worrying about having a conversation at work because I know now that I can pronounce words properly. These changes are allowing me to be more open to having conversations that before were cause for nervousness. A friend of mine - from Birmingham - even told me that he could notice how my intonation was getting better instead of my Spanish-oriented speech, and hearing that from a native speaker felt really good!
I also particularly appreciated how patient you are as a coach, as well as how supportive you were with the personalised feedback via WhatsApp, always giving useful advice on how to improve things. Your kind and clear approach has given me the push to feel that I can actually communicate clearly and be understood.
